How it works

  1. Open your STL, OBJ, 3MF or PLY file, or switch to “Enter weight” and type the grams from your slicer.
  2. Set your infill, print time, filament price and electricity price.
  3. Read the total cost, and add a markup to get a selling price.

How is the cost calculated?

Filament cost = weight × price per kg. Electricity = printer power × print time × price per kWh. A failure rate adds the cost of prints that go wrong, and you can add labor and a profit markup.

How accurate is the weight?

From a 3D file, the weight is estimated from the walls and infill of the model. For the most accurate result, slice your model and enter the weight your slicer shows.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Your file is read locally and never leaves your device, so it is safe for private and paid models.

Is it free?

Yes, it is 100% free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no file limit.

How much does it cost to 3D print?

Most small prints cost well under a dollar in filament. A typical 50 g PLA print costs about $1 in filament and a few cents in electricity.

How much power does a 3D printer use?

A typical FDM printer uses 100 to 200 W on average while printing, with more during heat-up. Enter your own value for a better estimate.

How do I price 3D prints for sale?

Start from the total cost, add your time for preparation and post-processing as labor, then add a profit markup. Many sellers use a markup of 100% or more.
