What is an STL file?
STL is the most common file format for 3D printing. It describes the surface of a model as a mesh of triangles and is used by slicers like Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio and Chitubox.

Why does my model look rotated?
STL files for 3D printing usually use Z as the up axis. The viewer uses Z-up by default; switch to Y-up in the View panel for models made in 3D apps.
